Tyrone Township is accepting applications for the following positions:
Equipment Operator – 32 hours/week March – October; Hours as needed November – February – Required to possess a current, valid PA CDL, Class B license.
Laborer – 24 hours/week March – October – Required to possess a current, valid PA driver’s license.
Description:
Must be able to operate a wide variety of equipment such as graders, backhoes, dump/plow trucks, mowing equipment, forklifts, rollers, chain saws, and any other power equipment required to maintain the townships roads, facilities and property. Must also be able to operate hand tools and equipment such as shovels, rakes, trimmers, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc. to perform maintenance on all township equipment. Must be able to implement work zone traffic control measures utilizing the appropriate signs, fencing, flags, lights, barricades, and clothing to safely direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic and operate communication devices. Must be available for call out during inclement weather or natural disasters. Must be able to attend meetings and training opportunities, in person or computer, as required. Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.
